Brightness issue in W 8.1

This morning I turned on my laptop and the brightness was in 0 level, so I press the + up level for brightness and could see the indicator going up (more brightness) but of course wasn't increasing, it maintained in the lower level.

After upgrading to Windows 8.1, did you install all the drivers and updates successfully?

Let us follow these methods:
Method 1.
Drivers are updated occasionally.
Windows can update them automatically, or you can install the updated drivers yourself.
It's important for you to have confidence in the updated drivers you install.
Windows notifies
you if it detects a suspicious or unsafe driver you shouldn't install.
Download and install drivers: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows-8/all-drivers
I suggest you to uninstall the display drivers and install the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s website.
Step 1: uninstall the display drivers.
a.       Press Windows + X, Click Device Manager.
b.      Expand Display Adapters.
c.       Check if the name of the graphic card is the list.
d.      Right click on the Display Adapter’s name and click uninstall.
e.       Once you uninstall the drivers it will prompt to restart the computer, if you restart the computer then generic drivers will be installed.

Step 2: Reinstall the drivers.
Please download the drivers from the computer Manufacturer’s website and reinstall the drivers.

You may also try to install the driver in compatibility mode and check if this helps.

Boot in Safe Mode:

Open Run command as previously described
Type MSConfig
Click on Boot tab
Tick Safe boot in Boot option
Select Network
Click Apply and OK
Reboot your system

Your system will boot in Safe mode with Networking. You may now try and open Windows Store and should not see any errors.
