Any ideas how to Undelete an obviously fragmented program off a computer ?

I installed Family Tree Maker on my computer via Windows 7.  (No firewall, anti-virus running) The program installed, registered, & took credit card info for Ancestry.com, & then would not open.  Thru Control Panel, Programs & Features, I Uninstalled &
Reinstalled.  Same result.  After 1 email & 4 phone calls & no help from Family Tree Maker I Undeleted thru Control Panel one last time & mailed the program back to the company.
Then I found it still on my computer!  The program neither opens or undeletes
!  I called FTM again.  They could not get it off & gave me Windows phone number.  I got someone there that told me he was "not technical" at the tech support number - could give me no advice - so here I am.  Any ideas how to get an obviously fragmented program
off my computer? Thank you.

Use System Restore to go back to a date prior to the problem.  To run System Restore, click Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore.
