What is the error message you get while trying to backup? Check for related error logs in event viewer .

What are you trying to backup?

Have you installed any third party backup software on the computer?
In the meantime, follow the steps given below.
Step 1:
If you have any third party backup software installed in the computer, please uninstall them and check.
Step 2:
You could also try doing a backup in
clean boot state.
Note: Follow step 7 to restart our computer as usual.

- Go to the Start button.
- In the Search box, type "cmd" (without quotes) and press Enter.
- At the command prompt, type "chkdsk /r /f" (without quotes) and press Enter.
- Restart your computer.
