Do you know if I can set up a formula so everytime I type someones inital it deducts one from their total?
I have listed all the dates in June.
I want to then write next to it who is on annual leave by putting JS, KM etc can it then link to a second page where it deducts 1 from the amount of days they are entitled to.

You could use the COUNTIF function to count the number of times a set of initials is found in a column of data.  But you'll run into problems with that technique if you try to enter more than one set of initials in any row.  It will work if you have separate
rows for each person for each day.  That is: If two different people take leave on the same day, then just add a separate row for each person - repeat the date, and put different initials.  Like this:
If sheet1 looks like this:
       A             B
1 Date       Initials
2 6/1/12       JS
3 6/1/12       KM
4 6/2/12       XX
and sheet2 looks like this:
        A              B                  C
1 Initials   Available   Remaining
2    JS             5  
3    KM            5
4    XX             3
Then the formula "=COUNTIF(sheet1!B:B,A2)" in cell C2 of the second page will count the number of times JS is found on the first sheet.  Just copy the formula from C2 to C3 ...
on sheet2 to get the days remaining for other initials.
But I'd recommend you use a Pivot table instead.

1. Access the files on your computer via MY COMPUTER
2. Under the C: drive, access the WINDOWS folder
3. Select the SOFTWARE DISTRIBUTION folder, followed by the DOWNLOAD folder.
4. Delete any files within this download folder.
5. If you are unable to delete these files, open the command prompt (CMD) as the administrator, and type "net stop wuauserv" into the CMD prompt window. Press ENTER. This should allow you to delete the files from step 4.
6. Once the files are deleted, open and run the CMD as the administrator and type "wuauclt.exe /updatenow". Press ENTER.
